Beeswax Air Freshener

Making Beeswax Air Freshener

I wanted to make an autumn scented beeswax air freshener similar to some I saw at a craft show. They're pretty simple to make and way cheaper to DIY.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Measure 1/8 cup beeswax and 1 tablespoon coconut oil into glass pyrex measuring cup.
  2. Place in a double boiler over medium heat.

  3. Melt beeswax and coconut oil until liquid.
  4. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon mica until fully combined.
  5. Drop in 25 drops total of essential oils (I used 20 drops cinnamon and 5 drops clove).
  6. Pour carefully into molds. They are really small, so go very slowly!
  7. Allow to cool for several minutes, then pop in the freezer to fully cool
  8. Remove from the molds and store in an airtight container until you are ready to use them.

Notes

To use these autumn leaf beeswax air fresheners, simply place a handful of them in a decorative bowl on your countertop. When the aroma starts to fade, you can melt them down and add more essential oils.
